The Perfect Place to Celebrate Your Wedding
It’s the first day of the rest of your lives together—your wedding should mirror your celebratory spirit and dazzling beauty. The glory of our grounds, the grace of our Grand Ballroom and our fabulous gourmet offerings make us the perfect looking glass for your perfect day.
Planning a wedding is an art, which is why you can rely on the experience, dedication and creativity of our professional staff to guide you on your extraordinary journey of love. We listen to who you are, and what you want, including all of the special moments you have dreamed of for your wedding. Do you have an eclectic mix of ideas and requests that will bring unique meaning to your special day? It is always our privilege to honor that vision. This is how we create the backdrop for the celebration of your lives and of your love for each other.
THE IDEAL LOCATION FOR YOUR WEDDING AND RECEPTION
The Farmhouse’s 330-year-old, historic country estate sets the scene outside, with over 10 acres of panoramic views in the rolling hills of Hunterdon County. Impeccably manicured lawns seat loved ones amongst lush gardens and towering trees for intimate and picturesque ceremonies. Tent the grounds for all-season ceremonies and receptions.
Hunterdon County’s grandest outdoor venue for weddings offers countless opportunities for capturing romantic wedding photos. Sit beneath our “Kissing Tree”, a giant oak located at our expansive property – and let its sprawling branches embrace the timelessness of your love. Let the stonework of our historic Schoolhouse perfectly frame you and your sweetheart as you sit within its lush garden. Enjoy a luxurious cocktail hour, the setting sun spotlighting you and your guests on our beautiful hedge-lined patio. Allow our brilliant white gazebo to whimsically reflect the wedding dreams of your youth. Our wedding venue’s grounds are adorned to highlight each stunning season, meticulously manicured to ensure that on your special day, you will be surrounded by seasonal flowers and foliage.
Inside, The Farmhouse has everything that you need. Its Grand Ballroom hosts up to 250 guests with plenty of room for dancing the night away on our new dance floor. Intricate pinspot lighting, recessed lighting, and a state-of-the-art sound system offer personalized ambiance and entertainment. Light the Grand Ballroom in your dream wedding colors; keep to one, or pick a spectrum: Fiery reds and oranges, cool blues, effervescent golds, rich pewter with hues of lavender. They are all possible.
Farmhouse Weddings, Large and Small
Your wedding will reflect your personality, whether it embraces 10 guests in the Farmhouse Restaurant’s Wine Room, 200 guests in the Grand Ballroom, or 500 guests in a lavish tent on the Great Lawn. The Farmhouse attracts weddings of all sizes, large and small. Intimate gatherings in the Farmhouse Restaurant’s private dining spaces are perfect for smaller weddings. Consider the VIP Room, dating from the 1600’s, and the Treebank Room, dating from the 1800’s, and the Perryville Room as romantic spaces for smaller wedding ceremonies and receptions.
FARMHOUSE AMENITIES AWAIT YOU
A full compliment of amenities awaits you, including in-house wedding planners and attendants, gloved service, Villeroy & Boch china, Christofle Hotel flatware, and an on-site generator. The Farmhouse has everything that you need. Indeed, The Farmhouse offers secluded and private areas for Brides and Grooms to prepare and relax. Our ethereal Bride’s Room is awash in flowers and soft colors, and overlooks the gazebo’s gardens. Whether your best friend or a professional makeup artist is helping you to achieve that special look, you will both appreciate the professional hairdresser’s chair and private bathroom there. The Groom’s Room boasts richly hued exposed beams dating from the 1600’s, and access to The Farmhouse’s tiered fountain gardens. Our professional staff will attend your needs while you have a bite to eat, and get ready.
EXECUTIVE CHEF CHRISTINE AYERS AND THE CULINARY ARTS STAFF
Our award-winning Chef, Christine Ayers, and The Farmhouse’s attentive catering team will truly spotlight your culinary vision, creating customized gourmet menus that incorporate your culture, style and preferences. Share your vision with Chef Christine, and she will use her special talents and skills to include the global fare and regional bites you desire. Whether you are planning a sit-down event, or buffet, Chef Christine will prepare your selections with locally sourced and sustainable agriculture from artisans and vendors committed to the farm to table movement.
AFTER-PARTIES: DANCE, EAT & REPEAT
The Farmhouse’s property offers many different locations and options for after-parties, rain or shine. After the main event, take over The Farmhouse Restaurant’s Wine Bar. Extend to the outdoors on the adjoining patio to continue partying under the stars. Get into your shorts and play bocce and volleyball on the Great Lawn, and roll food trucks onto the property. The VIP Room, the Perryville Room and Wine Room await.
One Wedding a Day
The icing on the cake? The Farmhouse at The Grand Colonial hosts only one wedding per day. It’s your day. Why share it?
