Caitlin and Derek had their first look in the newly planted Schoolhouse summer garden at The Farmhouse at The Grand Colonial this holiday weekend. As their guests arrived to celebrate the Bride and Groom’s afternoon ceremony, they were greeted by attendants, among them childhood friends of the radiant couple. Many of the Groom’s family flew in from Europe to meet the Bride’s family for the first time. There were lots of hugs and kisses, and a little broken English too!
The ceremony was followed by an elaborate cocktail reception in the Hunterdon Room. The guests were escorted afterward into the Grand Ballroom for dinner and dancing. Dinner started with the first course of “Caprese Salad” of homemade mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes and fire roasted peppers. For their main course, guests chose from filet mignon, pan seared Atlantic salmon and stuffed, French cut breast of chicken. And for dessert, the Bride and Groom selected and designed their unique wedding cake, offered to each guest with a chocolate-covered strawberry, and chocolate cup with home made vanilla ice cream.
The dance floor was never empty, as the DJ, John from “Parties by Me” kept the dance floor packed all night. Ally Gallina Photography captured every precious moment.
